OgiKev was inspired by this video for his gaming desk

So we created this
We did some measuring and in the end came up with this size

We went with metal subconstruction

Near final design of upper board
  • When metal work was finished we decided to add this element to stabilize the entire construction integrity. It joins two separate table-frames at the bottom
  • At the top, we used bolts for the same purpose

For LED control we used cheap (2€) AliExpress Bluetooth controller which is really the most convenient way to manage lights in our opinion.


  • Applying clear coating for basic protection of elements of inner “sandwitch” structure. Flash’s kennel and villa in the background 🐶
  • Cutting costs resulted in 2 piece bottom MDF. In the back is a one piece top MDF sheet
  • Sanding-pad, I never knew this existed
  • Coarse sanding, a prep for first coating
  • Finished but glossy 🤔
  • Inner sandwich
  • Guides for plastic cable channel for LEDs
  • Space for power and LED cables between top and bottom sheets
  • Great stuff, can be used in very thin layers
  • Very weak bonding and final strength
I must stress the difference in quality of these epoxy products, besides Soudal stinks like “fish”
